Dr. Jams (they/them) received their Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell, Developmental and Biochemical Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. They then served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at San Francisco from 2005-2010, and then as a postdoctoral fellow at Celgene Corporation from 2010-2013. They trained as a neurofeedback practitioner using the Othmer Method in 2014 and has been working with clients since. They recently (August, 2021) completed their master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. They have been part of the counseling honor's society, Chi Sigma Iota, since 2020 and they became a National Certified Counseling [NCC] in January, 2022, and are now a Registered Associate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists [OBLPCT].
